About the event
Before Raise a Glass: Stories from Dallas’s Lesbian Bars, Badge Of Pride invites you to bring photographs, flyers, and other materials that help tell the story of Dallas’s lesbian community.
We are especially seeking images from lesbian bars and gathering places, including Sue Ellen’s, Desert Moon, Rumors, Moon Dreams, Eden Lounge, and the people, friendships, events, and activism that grew around them. Personal snapshots matter, as do photographs from parties, fundraisers, sports teams, organizations, performances, and everyday life.
Scanning begins when doors open at 5:30 p.m. and will take place before the program begins at 6:30 p.m. We will return original materials to you after scanning. Materials documenting other aspects of Dallas LGBTQ+ nightlife and community history are also welcome.
