WE DON’T JUST PRESERVE QUEER HISTORY—WE ACTIVATE IT.

At Badge Of Pride, Queer history is not a static record of the past—it is a living, breathing force for cultural transformation.

Every artifact we steward, every exhibition we curate, and every program we create invites dialogue, inspires action, and drives cultural change. This is not passive preservation—it’s a bold act of reclamation.

We illuminate Queer lives in all their brilliance and complexity to challenge erasure, dismantle stereotypes, and forge connections across generations. To understand our history is to harness the power we hold—and the future we are building.

This is our charge. This is your invitation. Together, we are shaping a legacy of justice, inclusion, and pride.

ORAL HISTORIES

We understand that as Queer people, we make history every day by thriving in a world that has consistently tried to make us disappear.

Share YOUR story.

EDUCATION

Knowledge is power. Knowledge is life-saving. We are developing workshops for a variety of age levels to educate on the importance and impact of LGBTQ+ history and activism. Stay tuned!

RESCUING TEXAS HISTORY

LGBTQ+ history in Texas has too often been hidden or erased. At Badge Of Pride, we are reclaiming that narrative.

In 2023, we secured a Rescuing Texas History grant to digitize hundreds of rare artifacts documenting decades of LGBTQ+ life across the state. These materials are now preserved in The Portal to Texas History, ensuring Queer voices become an enduring part of our shared cultural record.

AMPLIFYING QUEER VOICES IN TEXAS

In a media landscape too often dominated by harmful rhetoric, Badge Of Pride is ensuring Queer voices are amplified.

In Winter 2023, we partnered with Common Frequency to launch a network of LGBTQ+ radio stations across Texas. Leveraging a rare FCC filing window, we secured licenses for affirming organizations in Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Fort Worth, Lubbock, Tyler, and more.

These stations are transforming the airwaves into platforms of visibility and pride—broadcasting a future where LGBTQ+ stories are celebrated, not silenced.
