A HISTORIC FIRST FOR TEXAS
Badge Of Pride: From Silence…To Celebration! marked a cultural milestone — the largest artifact-driven LGBTQ+ history exhibition ever presented in Texas and a 2025 Silver Anthem Award Winner in Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging.

Developed in partnership with regional and national institutions, the exhibition illuminated more than a century of Queer lives, love, creativity, and liberation through a rich array of artifacts. Presented with free admission and a full Spanish translation, it welcomed thousands of visitors into direct engagement with LGBTQ+ history and its ongoing impact.

The work continues to grow. Touring versions, performances, publications, and educational programs extend the exhibition’s reach and invite communities across Texas and beyond to join the conversation.
PROGRAMMING

Knowledge is power. Knowledge is life-saving. We are developing workshops for a variety of age levels to educate on the importance and impact of LGBTQ+ history and activism. Stay tuned!
RESCUING TEXAS HISTORY
LGBTQ+ history in Texas has too often been hidden or erased. At Badge Of Pride, we are reclaiming that narrative.
In 2023, we secured a Rescuing Texas History grant to digitize hundreds of rare artifacts documenting decades of LGBTQ+ life across the state. These materials are now preserved in The Portal to Texas History, ensuring Queer voices become an enduring part of our shared cultural record.
AMPLIFYING QUEER VOICES IN TEXAS
In a media landscape too often dominated by harmful rhetoric, Badge Of Pride is ensuring Queer voices are amplified.
In Winter 2023, we partnered with Common Frequency to launch a network of LGBTQ+ radio stations across Texas. Leveraging a rare FCC filing window, we secured licenses for affirming organizations in Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Fort Worth, Lubbock, Tyler, and more.
These stations are transforming the airwaves into platforms of visibility and pride—broadcasting a future where LGBTQ+ stories are celebrated, not silenced.
