Philanthropic support for LGBTQ+ communities has taken a major hit. According to Funders for LGBTQ Issues, foundation funding for LGBTQ+ causes dropped nearly 20% in their most recent report. To put it in perspective: for every $100 awarded by U.S. foundations, only 20 cents went toward LGBTQ+ causes.

We’ve felt this firsthand as we’ve sought grant funding and sponsorships for our work. The truth is: we can no longer rely on others to preserve our history, elevate our voices, and keep our stories alive.
